Are We Out of the Woods?

Mixed Media on Canvas; Gallery Wrap Artist's Statement: The term 'out of the woods' mean 'to no longer be in danger or difficulty'. To put that in the perspective of love, the 'woods' pertain to a relationship. There are times when people encounter a love that is abusive and destructive, disguised as a fairytale in the beginning. It challenges one's strength and patience. Letting go is a difficult choice. The question 'should I stay?' comes to mind. The fear of what is outside of the relationship lingers for people who are often scared to be alone. Some who are strong enough to leave find that it was the right choice and that they are better on other side.
